Dr. Taiwo Akande (Rector) Bags FISON FELLOWSHIP (Ffs)

 

Dr. Akande, who bagged the prestigious Professional Fellowship award of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria alongside other eminent Nigerians including Governors and serving Senators are to be conferred with the Award (Ffs) in Abuja on Friday 29th July, 2016.

It will be recalled that Dr. T.T. Akande bagged her first and second degrees in Zoology (Specialising in Fishery) from the University of Ibadan and her Doctoral (Ph.D) in Fisheries from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

The prove of her recognition as an expert in the field of Fisheries and wildlife is about to impact on the academic programme of the Polytechnic as efforts were already on to introduce academic programme in fisheries in the Institution from the next academic session.

Until the latest FISON Fellowship Award, Dr. Akande, a member of several Professional Associations had also bagged the Fellowship of the National Association of Teachers of Technology (Fnatt) and the National Association of Technologists in Engineering (Fnate) among others.
